"Oh my! A big 'virtual hug' to make you feel less lonely, as the words got me straight in the gut! If you don't mind my asking/saying...where you wrote...the relevance of my denial lies expired beside the door...I wonder if it might be…"

Pearldiver commented on Heather Royle's blog post Night Noises
"Wow Heather you're early. Don't you hate it when you can't hear the spiders singing as they weave? ... It's getting quite noisy here as creative minds creak their way back downstairs to the press. Excellent post... there's…"

Night Noises

NIGHT NOISES….  Silence of the night is breathless Air tight in anticipation The clouds, colossal in their flight Veil the moon, eerily dipping in an out of sight    A rodent scurries under the house fearless For its safety, yet intent on the kill Foraging for morsels, to refrain Itself and its family’s hunger pain    No other noise…See More

True Grit!

True Grit!

Integrity is life’s ‘true grit’

There for the taking

Integrity is like our riverbed

Which we can ‘sell down the river’

Integrity is the first light of day

Shining brightly to clear the fog

Integrity is a wonderful rainbow

Romanticising life’s harsh realities

Integrity is a joyous shanty

To aid or abet our crooning

Integrity is a babe’s first…

Melancholy in D major

Melancholy in D major

Rolling hills out beyond

- a whimsical vista

wind tickling

like piano keys

the leaves of trees

competing with

birds trilling

one against the other

octave and pitch perfect

to be borne far away

all but breaking

the pregnant silence

surrounding me

ensuring the whip hand

of melancholy broken
